There, I said it. I'm a foodie at heart. I love to try new foods, and I love variety. I get bored with the same old, same old. Can you relate? Where are my other foodies at?!
My top five favorite foods or go-tos are:
Sushi, unagi (BBQ eel) is my fave
Japanese Ramen (rich pork broth and noodles with the soft egg!)
Vietnamese pho or vermicelli (spring rolls on the side)
Chinese dim sum (shrimp dumplings and sticky rice)
Korean bi-bim-bap, if you don't know what it is, find it and try it!
Runners up would be (do you notice a theme? I lean towards anything Asian first, seafood, and Mexican/Peruvian next):
Indian curry and samosas
Thai curry (red kind is my fave)
Ceviche (raw fish and shrimp in lime marinade)
Grilled cheese and tomato soup (comfort food)
Pulled pork or birria burrito with guacamole
Enchiladas with mole sauce (love mole)
Seafood pasta with squid, mussels, and shrimp
Of course, I won't turn down a good smash burger and onion rings either, especially if it's got mushrooms and cheese.

Lately, I've been getting a lot of questions about switching from Lightroom to Luminar. Ironically, Skylum released a new beta feature - Lightroom catalog migration!
I made a video about it so you can see what transfers over with the migration, what does not, and what to be aware of before you try it.
WARNING: Because it's a beta version, I do NOT recommend you attempt this with your entire LR catalog, or switch completely - at least not just yet! Hold off for a little while longer.

A couple of weeks ago, I presented part one of a two-part series all about light, specifically, the quality of light - hard versus soft.

We have FIVE spots left for our Japan photography tour this November. We're going for the fall colors (think red Japanese maple trees!), but there is so much else to see and experience there. I want to share a little bit of it with you to see what Japan is like.
HINT: It's AMAZING!!!
If it's food you're worried about, look at the variety of things available! You can get everything (see above photo) from matcha green tea ice cream, katsu (pork cutlets) curry, deep-fried things, meat on a stick, and sake.
Below you can see ramen (deep rich pork broth, braised tender pork, noodles, and an egg), wagyu beef, dumplings, fluffy pancakes, grilled meat, noodle dishes, donuts, okonomiyaki (a kind of omelet/pancake fusion), seafood or all kinds, and so much more.
Did I mention cheesecake? Mini ones fresh out of the oven and warm and soft and jiggly! - Told you I was a foodie!

Besides the food, there is so much to see and experience, too!
You might see deer, take a bullet train, walk through the bamboo forest, hike up through the red tori gates, see Mount Fuji through the clouds, take the subway, and get to experience the "squish" at rush hour, walk across Shibuya Crossing (the busiest in the world), and see it from above as well, and more.
